What does a fintech brand need before launch?

Before launch, a fintech brand needs a clear offer, a recognisable identity, consistent language, and a website that explains the product. The useful scope depends on the product’s maturity and the audience it needs to reach.

Define what people need to understand

Write down the intended user, the problem, the actual product, and the next action. Test those statements with people outside the founding team. If the explanation depends on insider terminology, the brand work should begin with language.

Build a small, usable identity

Agree the logo, colour palette, typography, and practical rules for everyday use. Test them on real screens, presentations, and small mobile layouts. A mark that looks compelling on a poster may need adjustment at navigation size.

Prioritise the first touchpoints

Choose the materials needed for the actual launch: perhaps a website, product demo, sales deck, and email template. Avoid designing dozens of hypothetical applications while the main offer remains unclear.

Agree the product and trust language

Clarify what is live, what is planned, and what the business can support with evidence. Security, regulatory, and performance statements need review by the people responsible for them. Design can make those explanations easier to use.

Know what to ask the designer for

Request reusable files, font and image licence information, colour specifications, responsive examples, and a short usage guide. Agree who will build the website, how feedback works, and what support is included after handoff.

Look for a relevant visual direction
